Harder Reacts to Anti-Dreamer Decision: The Fight Does Not End Here

WASHINGTON — Tonight, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) reacted to the Senate Parliamentarian’s new ruling that language protecting Dreamers, essential workers, and those with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) cannot be included in the reconciliation bill.

“Despite what some unelected bureaucrat in Washington may have decided, the fight for our Dreamers does not end here,” said Rep. Harder. “Dreamers are as American as you and I. They’re our students and teachers, faith leaders and coworkers. I’m going to keep fighting until they’re protected once and for all.”

Rep. Harder has been a champion for the 10,000 Dreamers in the Central Valley since his very first day in office. This spring he voted to create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and he has repeatedly called on Sen. Mitch McConnell to stop blocking legislation that would protect them. He is also leading the charge to end the massive DACA backlog currently plaguing US Citizenship and Immigration services.
