Swalwell Announces New Chiefs of Staff

Washington, DC — Today, Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-15) announced that Yardena Wolf will serve as Chief of Staff, effective July 2021, following the departure of Michael Reed, who left the office to become Senior Advisor to Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Additionally, Mallory De Lauro will serve as District Chief of Staff. She was previously the Congressman’s District Director.

“Yardena and Mallory both have an outstanding record of service and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team,” Swalwell said. “I’m delighted to have these two women leading my office and know that with them at the helm, we will continue to deliver for the good people of California’s 15th District. I am grateful for Michael’s service and leadership and wish him the best of luck in his new role with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.”

Yardena Wolf was the Vice President of the New York office of Berger Hirschberg Strategies, a political consulting firm focused on fundraising and strategy for Democrats in local, state, and federal races. Born in Tuscaloosa, AL and raised in Corvallis, OR. Yardena graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Political Science. Yardena completed her certificate at the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University, and served as the National Finance Director for Swalwell’s presidential campaign.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Congressman Swalwell’s office at such a pivotal time for our democracy,” said Wolf. “I’m honored that I’ve been entrusted to lead such a capable and thoughtful team, and look forward to serving the people of California’s 15th District in this capacity.”

Mallory De Lauro has lived most of her life in CA-15, and has worked in Swalwell’s office since early 2015. She’s served as a Constituent Services Representative and Manager and as District Director, most recently being named District Chief of Staff. With a law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside, her California experience and perspective is broad and extensive.

“It’s a privilege to lead the dedicated team working for CA-15 in district, and temporarily extending that leadership in Washington, DC,”  said De Lauro. “I look forward to preparing our team for the chapter ahead before returning to my roots in California.”
