Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) congratulated Ruby Churchill of Montague for winning this year’s Congressional Art Competition. Her piece, titled “Left Behind,” will be displayed in the United States Capitol in Washington, DC for one year. Ruby attends American Christian Academy.
LaMalfa said, “Congratulations to Ruby for winning this year’s competition. I am glad that Ruby’s artwork will be displayed in the Capitol, allowing her the opportunity to showcase her artistic ability for people from all over the country who visit the Capitol to see. I enjoy seeing the pieces our students create, and I look forward to seeing this year’s winning artwork from every Congressional district in the passageway from the House member offices to the Capitol. Thank you to our judges and every student who submitted an art piece this year.”
