WASHINGTON – Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) released the following statement after President Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union Address.
“Tonight we heard a lot of the same tough talk, but talk is cheap.
“If the President wanted to lower drug prices, he’d support the bill we already passed to cut drug costs by 75 percent. If he wanted to protect people with preexisting conditions, he wouldn’t be pushing the lawsuit to repeal health care reform. He also didn’t breathe a word on the need to make sure Vietnam Vets with certain health care conditions get the benefits they deserve.
“I’m with the President on bringing vocational and technical education to every high school in America, and I hope he takes a look at my bills that would do just that.
“It’s easy to talk a big game, but it takes real work to actually get things done. My door is open, but I don’t expect the President to walk through it.”
